  • “While most people likely relate to Kendall as a supermodel and social media behemoth, I have also come to see her at her core as a pure athlete. Her father Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner, in fact won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. For this particular photograph I literally set her free on an isolated beach. To me this photograph captures the very essence of Kendall” - RUSSELL JAMES”


  • At the heart of James’ Angels series are collaborations with many of the most iconic models of our time. The underlying premise is the impact and beauty of the figurative form in all its expressions, a shared part of the human experience. James says,

    “I often refer to this as my Trust series. It’s such a privilege that so many amazing people have entrusted me to capture such personal and intimate portraits. It’s partnership at its best.”

    There are two published books dedicated to this series: Angels (2014) and Angels Limited Edition (2018).
