“I first met Hugh when he hosted an exhibition of my work on Indigenous culture, Nomad Two Worlds, in New York. Over the years we collaborated on many projects and became good friends in the process. This shot was taken in 2009 in Hugh’s room at a hotel as he warmed up for a show. Doing the thing he loves most, about to be on stage in a small theatre with an audience who are as passionate about the performing arts as he is.”
