“I photographed Gigi for my Limited Edition Series and we were working on full-body portraits. I saw this portrait emerge and moved the camera in for this close portrait. It speaks to me about the coolness and energy of Gigi and I often include it in exhibitions as a look into Gigi’s essence.”

At the heart of James’ Angels series are collaborations with many of the most iconic models of our time. The underlying premise is the impact and beauty of the figurative form in all its expressions, a shared part of the human experience. James says,
“I often refer to this as my Trust series. It’s such a privilege that so many amazing people have entrusted me to capture such personal and intimate portraits. It’s partnership at its best.”
