Gisele, Virgin Gorda

Sep 21

“I likely photographed Gisele more than any other model I have photographed, and I think the same is likely true for Gisele. This moment is as pure Gisele as I could ever envisage. Sunset on Virgin Gorda with golden skies, and we had just minutes. Our close working relationship allowed us to communicate in shorthand and capture this surreal moment.”

RUSSELL JAMES

At the heart of James’ Angels series are collaborations with many of the most iconic models of our time. The underlying premise is the impact and beauty of the figurative form in all its expressions, a shared part of the human experience. James says,
“I often refer to this as my Trust series. It’s such a privilege that so many amazing people have entrusted me to capture such personal and intimate portraits. It’s partnership at its best.”
